There is some question in the minds of consumers as to which is better: the iPod Touch or the iPod Classic. Both have some advantages and disadvantages. Figuring out what you want in your new electronic device proportional to the price you are willing to pay for the technology is simple when you compare the features of each device.

The iPod Classic has 160 gb of memory for songs and mp3s, which is roughly the equivalent of 40,000 songs, and will allow you to download up to 200 hours of video to take with you on the go. It is bigger and bulkier than the Touch, with no touch controls or touchscreen capabilities, and no Internet access. The original price of the iPod Classic was around 250 pounds. If you are willing to pay for the contract, you can buy an iPhone with touchscreen and wireless Internet for less than the price of the iPod Classic or the iPod Touch.

On the other side of the coin is the iPod Touch, with 32 gb of song memory, or 7,000 songs, and a video storage capacity of only 20 hours of video. It does, however, boast easy access to the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, and an on-screen keyboard for emails and such. When you take into account that the iPhone boasts these same features for less the price minus your contract, it is easy to see why the iPod Classic would be a first choice for music lovers. Some have noted Internet access that was spotty at best on the iPod Touch, as well as a much smaller song and video capacity than the Classic. The nail in the coffin for many when the iPod Touch came out was the price tag of over 300 pounds, considerably more than the cost of the iPod Classic.

The line of argument is that for those who value Internet access and social networking, the iPhone is the logical choice, but if what you are looking for is a great music player to hold your ever expanding music and movie collection, the iPod Classic meets this need better than the iPod Touch for its simple interface, much larger memory capacity, and lower price. The iPod Touch was made for those who want social networking and on-the-go Internet access on their music player, and it meets this need adequately. However, most audiophiles will feel that is leaves something to be desired compared to its original counterpart, the iPod Classic.

We could see from this story that the two parents Capulet and Montague, represents the feudal ideology and tradition. They ignored the young`s freedom and love, led to the hatred and conflicts between the two families, and ate their own bitter fruit to lose their children. While Romeo and Juliet represent a new kind of humanism. They make brave and resourceful struggles against feudal ideas and traditions, even though the outcome of the struggle is a tragedy, but in exchange of victory and promotion of the spirit of humanism. Of course, in this play, the spirit of humanism most concentrated and most intense embodys the two young persons – Romeo and Juliet. The two figures are well – shaped by the author, and it is the artistic image for the author to express humanistic ideals. The love between Romeo and Juliet is really shocking. This pure, noble and tragic love makes countless secular loves pale.

The humanistic spirit of the 14th to 16th century in Europe is the rising outlook towards life and values among the capitalist class. Seen from today, it naturally has many limits of that time. However, its “subject” is people and it demands to respect the human nature and value. This is not outdated. In the background of “humanism” lost greatly nowadays, romeo and Juliet, we need to derive the spiritual nutrition from Romeo and Juliet.

Though the story “The Old Man and the Sea” is simple but contains a profound message. The content is that old fisher Santiago didn’t get any fish within 84 days, but he found one salmon which has over 1500 pounds in the 85th day. Consequently a fight between him and the fish begins and lasts for three days and nights. It doesn`t end until the exhausted fish floats to the surface of the sea and is killed by the fisherman. While Santiago is heading for home, he is continually attacked by a pack of sharks. When he finally reaches the beach, only the head, the tail and the skeleton of the fish is left. This is a classical tragic novel with far-reaching implication, as well as a heroic symphony. At last his strong determination fails to win him a good result because only the head, the tail and the skeleton of the fish is left when he reaches the harbor. It can’t be the same. Failure was an unendurable attack. You will have the hope if you go to the sea again. I think that it is the ugly life environment and tough life attitude that make this work attractive. The old man in that story said, “But people are not born for failure. One can be destroyed but can’t be beaten.” this sentances reminds me of Beethoven’s “Fate Symphony”, he said, “I can be destoryed, but I can not be conquered.” they explain the meaning of hero, the meaning of life. The sentence in the story also points out the concept of the story: A man should face failure bravely. In this aspect, this book is neither a fable nor a fairy tale, but a realistic works.

Victory is no longer important in this novel, the importance is the value of a human life, the old dare to challenge the limit, beyond again and again had to let us admire that he had brought to mankind is a kind of self-confidence, a strong spiritual strength. The Old Man and the Sea gives me a lot of life enlightenments. It tells me what failure is. Failure means you should stand up when falling down and stand up again when falling down again. Never lose your hope on life and never lose your life dream at any time. What a hero means a person shall face up to the frustrations to overcome yourself and any person who is suffering frustration. They are brave to accomplish their dreams which they have failed to achieve for many times. This spirit fits what a hero means. Being fond of Hemingway’s [The old man and the sea”, I also learnt that his life was a tough one going through wars, diseases and spiritual tortures. Actually, he went through all of them with his braveness. Regrettably, he chose to commit suicide to end his life, perhaps he has his own reasons, but he violated the elaboration of failure and heroes in the “The old man and sea”, which is a pity.

Failure is not fearful. What is fearful is the surrender to failure. Once you surrender, all your dreams cannot be realized. It has important meaning in the real life. I feel that Life is like the old man going out the sea to fish , there will appear to face bravely, even if has no success , it will not leave regrets in life because there is no effort, we will also be the stronger for life, out life will also be wonderful because we have made efforts.
