Another thing is, the US is the biggest importer of NZ organic products, so they are the rule makers for NZ organics.
It’s really hard farming organic in NZ because the rules are getting harder and harder allthe tim, changing every year. For instance we’re nolonger allowed to use tannerlized posts for fences. this rule was introduced this year.

I really enjoy this video but from 17.00.-18.00 i would question about organic farms. I am a manager of a organic farm in new zealand and the rules for using antibiotics is very clear, NO antibiotic whatsoever are to be used and if used, animal must be seperated (quarintined) for 30 days then removed from the farming system.
If an animal needs trace elements ie. sillenium, copper, we need to prove she is lacking these minerals before treating or drenching her.
