the diabetes does *not* always disappear after pregnancy, as this person seems to say.. if you have gestational diabetes you need to be checked post-partum.
15 grams of carbs = 1 carb choice… usually ONE SLICE of bread equals one carbohydrate choice; and most GD food plans are a 2-2-4-2-4-2 plan (2 carbs for breakfast, 2 for morning snack, 4 for lunch, 2 for afternoon snack, 4 for dinner and 2 for evening snack… at least thats what my clinic recommends.
