Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son. This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people’s history.

    @SeanGordonXRX Showing emotion IS manly. Not showing it is adolescent. So don’t let these naysayers bother you.

    @Rahavin1 No they are not…
    Why do guys think that hiding you emotions is manly and showing them means your gay?

    The actor of Arathorn really makes a brilliant father for Aragorn. He actually looks a lot like Viggo for example at 42:40 :D Good actor too .

    This was far beyond my expectations. Amazingly well done. It even had those realistic aspects that popular movies normally lack, such as that bloody wound which made me shudder. You don’t see that kind of stuff at the cinema.

  21. VigisKane says:

    GREAT film but the asians in it loses it marks in my books,Tolkien based the LOTR on europe and europe history and myth,a byproduct of that means the characters should all be white,its small detail but its important if you are going to keep to tolkiens works

  22. VigisKane says:

    the orcs are portrayed much darker than in the LOTR a better portrayal of them i think
