An Ode To Sports Video Games

After seeing some of my old sports games collect dust in my room over the years, I thought it was time that I made a musical tribute to what was once cutting-edge in the world of sports video games. To those expecting games from different consoles, I’m sorry, but the only cartridge-based games I own are for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The overall game variety of Football (American), Baseball, Hockey, and Soccer is a decent mixture though. The main audio track used in this video is “Eastern Power” from the game “World Trophy Soccer” (Known as “European Club Soccer” in Europe and “J-League Champion Soccer” in Japan). It was composed by Matt Furniss for Krisalis Software Ltd. The following games we’re used in this video: World Trophy Soccer (US Release: December 31, 1992) Wayne Gretzky And The NHLPA All-Stars (US Release: June 1, 1995) World Series Baseball ’96 (US Release: July 16, 1996) Joe Montana II: Sports Talk Football (US Release: July 20, 1991) Legal Information: This video is for informational purposes only. I do not claim any rights to these games other than the ownership of purchased hard copies. Official rights are property of the games’ developer, publisher, and any other affiliates.
