Question by AnswerMyQuestions!: Why are all the shitttiest “artists” so famous now?
okay so there’s this “singer” named ke$ha. She has ONE single which is shitty. And she’s already famous. Most bands work their assses off for years before they are even noticed or get signed. While a lot of bands have like 2-4 albums, she has 1 song & she’s probably making more than a lot of other artists. This lady is also signed to a major label already! This pissses me off a lot. She has 1 terrible song & she is already a big name in the music industry.
So is there a reason behind her fame??? because one shitty song cannot bring about that much stardom!

honestly i have no idea. although her song is extremely catchy i dont consider her an artist that deserves all this stardom and i feel really bad for the bands that work soooo hard to get somewhere and they never do becuz the radio is shit and all they pay are the “hits” and it really freekin annoying, i think that bands are more humble and want people to find them and care more about there fans, artist on the radio just want the money and have a shit load of fans, that are uncommited. I think shes big becuz of how many times shes played in a single hour, which is pretty annoying. this makes no since to me, one thing that i want to do to get the bands know is to make a radio station that keeps the shitty music out and plays underground bands that deserve it.
what the 1st person said…most people like the shitty songs now..she annoys me too, she dresses all whorish and sings really nasaly
Thats life. Thats what all the people say! And what they think is just plain Horse@##(). that be tha Stupiediesticly song eyes ever heard!!!!!!!!!!!! How the F did she do it. Makes me wana go out and end it all. haha. thanks!
It’s always been that way. Teenybopper chicks buy the most music. In the early 60′s we used to sit and wonder why people listened to the Beatles or Herman’s Hermit’s, instead of the Yardbirds, who were way better. In the 70′s we couldn’t figure out why Disco was more popular than Led Zeppelin. Ever wonder why Mariah Carey or Celine Dion were more popular in the 90′s than Soundgarden or Mudhoney? The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Its because of the record companies They pay billions every year so that everyone hears only what they want them to hear. They just advertise the hell out of this cheaply made crap and have it played on every radio station every five minutes so people don’t get exposed to music that is actually good. Music is no longer an art, it’s hardly even music anymore. Its all a business obsessed with earning the most money while spending the least they can .Which is why nowadays the artists don’t even write their own music or sing it without the help of electronic voice editing. I know its a terrible terrible thing but until good music actually gets out there, explore undiscovered music, local bands and what not all that you can. They are the ones that deserve to be in the limelight not Lady gaga or Brittney spears or Kayne west. Well anyways I hope this answers your question and good luck finding good music.
I feel the same about SO MANY artists now days, but especially Taylor Swift.
She’s mediocre on guitar and she’s not even that great of a singer.
But I think the music charts have been greatly influenced by what we would call “teenyboppers.”
They like catchy pop songs with girlyfied lyrics that they think they can relate too, which they can’t with other artists who are actually well…good. Hence forth, Fireflies by Owl City. Total teenybopper music,.
If I could replace every person on the charts who’s shitty, we’d have some great music going on.
I promise that.
& it bothers me more when a great band or artist that I know of, ends up quitting because they’ve worked too long and still haven’t got noticed and they just lose hope.
I don’t know but there has definitely been decrease in music standards. I guess people just aren’t prepared to dig deeper to find a better sound. They’ll settle for the first thing they find on TV. This is why Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Rihanna and similar are so overrated.
