    how can this woman tell me that I will feel better eating fruit for breakfast than when eating a breakfast high in saturated fat? She knows nothing of my genetic background or metabolic type. I appreciate the advice but you can’t seriously believe that fruit for breakfast is good for every human being regardless of their internal body type.

    I want to change my eating habits to lose weight and for health reasons. I thought about juicing but knew I’d miss the “crunch” from not eating food. This gave me ideas. However eating healthy is expensive and it seems that it would take alot for juicing as well has eating healthy. Do you have any suggestions on keeping the cost down?

    @youaredyu44 geesh, I had no idea that was part of detoxing…. so when that feeling happens to me i am in PAIN. it is usually my artificial hip that bothers me… but then i eat some thing and the Pain leaves me. yesterday i was out at a breakfst place and had a egg white veggie omlet with hot sauce. I did not know what else to do to get the PAIN to go away. I guess this is detoxing… i need to drink more water… i do not drink it very often. maybe that is the problem?

  22. letsgetraw says:

    @johansilvaissososexy
    You would need to increase your calorie count. Try healthy fats such as avocado, olive oils, and nuts. You’re not consuming empty fat laden calories such as those found in fast food so you’ll need to eat a lot of the good stuff!

  23. whatiamdoingnow says:

    Great vid. Someone below said raw diets aren’t healthy, but raw is more natural / healthy for humans provided it’s balanced and satisfies your body’s complete nutritional / caloric needs. Even eating a partially raw diet, w/ cooked / processed foods sparingly, is helpful as raw typically yields significant health benefits. Thanks, Cynthia, for this simple yet informative / inspirational video; sometimes the obvious is exactly what we need. Helped me begin today with a healthy mindset.

  24. brahmamurti says:

    @marjarose you can use a regular one.. it will just take longer that is all. The purpose of blending it is to help your body more easily to digest it. When you eat smoothies be sure to chew them too. Chew until the smoothie gets warm and/or feels sweet in your mouth. The saliva is important as it starts to break down the food. Don’t just chuck it down. The body will benefit better. It will better be able to use the content.

    when making this sort of salad I found it best to let it sit for a little before serving so the oil has a chance to blend and settle some, otherwise I found the oil taste too strong.
