  • Anti-tangle technology to free itself of tassles and tangles (demo here)
  • Able to sense walls/furniture and automatically slows down to soften the impact (demo below)
  • Operates with one push of the clean button
  • Better motion on thick carpets and transition between surfaces
  • 33% larger dirt-bin
  • IR walls (‘Virtual Wall Lighthouses’) prevent the robot from venturing into another room before the first is cleaned (only on 560 and 570 – demo below)
  • On-board scheduling (only on 560 and 570)
  • Improved side-brush to better clean corners and edges
  • Modular design for easier upgrades/repair
  • Wireless controller for Roomba 570
  • Custom face-plates

    Prices: $299.99 for the 530, $349.99 for the 560, $399.99 for the 570

    Also, iRobot mentions a Roomba 535 which, like the 570, will include a wireless controller.

    U2 World Tour

    U2 have confirmed dates for their forthcoming 360° World tour, beginning in Barcelona on 30 June.

    Amongst a host of European dates the band will play Dublin Croke Park [24 July], London Wembley Stadium [14 Aug], Glasgow Hampden Park [18], Sheffield Don Valley Stadium [20] and Cardiff Millennium Stadium [22].

    The gigs will see the band playing in a central ’360°’ stage.

    Manager Paul McGuiness said: “This staging takes a giant leap forward.

    Regulated prices

    U2 have also confirmed that ticket prices for the tour will be regulated.

    McGuiness adding: “With 85 percent of the tickets priced at less than 95 Euro, general admission floor tickets priced at 55 euro and at least 10,000 tickets at every venue priced at around 30 Euro.

    We have worked very hard to ensure that U2 fans can purchase a great priced ticket with a guaranteed great view.

    Although specific details are yet to be confirmed Glasvegas, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol and Black Eyed Peas will support the band on selected dates.

    After being released last week No Line On The Horizon, the band’s 12th record, has gone straight to number one in the UK charts.

    Tickets for the UK tour dates go on sale on 20 March.
